Authorities have released new details about the assassination of Charlie Kirk, shedding light on how the attack was carried out during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.

According to Beau Mason of the Utah Department of Public Safety, the shooter was described as a college-age individual who blended in with students before positioning himself on a rooftop.

At approximately 11:52 a.m. on Wednesday, the suspect entered campus. Less than half an hour later, he fired a single shot with a high-powered bolt-action rifle, striking and killing Kirk.

The precision and planning behind the attack underscore the targeted nature of the assassination, which has prompted an intensive investigation involving local law enforcement and the FBI.

Officials have not yet publicly identified the shooter, and no arrest has been announced. Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing as they work to confirm the gunman’s identity and possible motives.

The killing of Kirk, a prominent conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA, has sent shockwaves through the political and cultural landscape, drawing swift condemnation and renewed calls for accountability.
