A dramatic police chase in Seattle took a dangerous turn when a fleeing suspect launched a car over the partially raised University Bridge.
The incident happened on September 17, after officers attempted to stop a vehicle with a stolen license plate. Instead of pulling over, the driver sped away through residential streets before smashing through a safety gate and going airborne across the bridge gap.
Police later found the car abandoned, though the suspect managed to escape. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing as they work to identify and locate the driver.
