Israeli security forces carried out precision operations in Ramallah and Hebron, targeting the Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC), an organization linked to the terrorist group PFLP. During the raids, IDF troops seized equipment, closed offices, and confiscated terror-related funds and assets estimated at approximately 700,000 NIS.
The operation led to the arrest of eight wanted individuals and the summoning of fourteen others for questioning. The UAWC, which has operated under the guise of an agricultural aid organization, is a known arm of the PFLP, actively promoting terrorism, recruitment, and funding activities. The group was officially designated a terrorist organization in 2021.
Israeli authorities emphasized that this action is part of a broader effort to dismantle terror networks operating under the cover of civilian organizations. By seizing resources and holding operatives accountable, the IDF is reinforcing Israel’s commitment to safeguarding its citizens and preventing terror attacks.
This operation serves as a reminder of the continued vigilance required to counter terrorist organizations exploiting humanitarian fronts. Israel maintains that no organization, regardless of its claimed purpose, will be allowed to fund or support terrorism against the state or its people.
