The Israeli Air Force successfully intercepted an Iranian drone before it could enter Israeli airspace, marking another significant achievement in the ongoing Operation Roaring Lion. Launched around March 3, 2026, the operation has coordinated closely with the U.S. Operation Epic Fury to target over 50 Iranian missile and defense sites, aiming to neutralize Tehran’s growing aerial threat capabilities.
Since the commencement of the operation, Israeli forces have detected and intercepted more than 110 Iranian drones en route to Israel, demonstrating the effectiveness of their layered air defense system.
