The Royal Navy has taken a significant step to strengthen maritime security in the Gulf by deploying the advanced VideoRay Defender-Viper remotely operated vehicle for potential mine countermeasure operations. Personnel from the Royal Navy’s Diving Threat and Exploitation Group recently completed intensive training on the system, which has already gained battlefield credibility through its operational use by Ukrainian forces in active conflict zones.
