The Israel Defense Forces said its air force carried out strikes against roughly 310 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, targeting what it described as terror infrastructure threatening Israeli civilians and military personnel. The operation reportedly resulted in the elimination of around 80 Hezbollah operatives as Israeli forces continued efforts to reduce threats near the border.
Ground forces are also operating along the forward defense line, where troops are working to locate and destroy weapons sites, underground infrastructure, and other Hezbollah positions. Israeli officials say the actions are aimed at preventing attacks and protecting communities near the northern border.
The latest operations highlight the ongoing security challenges facing Israel as tensions with Hezbollah continue. Israeli leaders have repeatedly stated that preventing hostile forces from establishing attack capabilities near Israeli territory remains a key priority for national defense.
