The U.S. Coast Guard Station Sand Key crew demonstrated exceptional skill and quick response when they rescued three people from a distressed 32-foot vessel that began taking on water 37 miles west of Anclote Key in the Gulf of Mexico. The dramatic operation unfolded on Saturday as the boat struggled in choppy waters, highlighting the constant dangers faced by those venturing out to sea.
