FOX Business host Larry Kudlow didn’t hold back as he criticized New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, accusing him of pushing extreme economic policies that spooked investors and helped tank local markets.
On his show Kudlow, the former Trump economic adviser called Mamdani’s platform “economically suicidal,” highlighting proposals like wealth redistribution, rent cancellation, and sweeping tax hikes on businesses as reasons why investors are pulling out of the city.
"It’s no wonder capital is fleeing," Kudlow said. "You threaten free enterprise, and the market reacts."
Kudlow also warned that such policies, if implemented, could accelerate New York’s economic decline and discourage job creation, entrepreneurship, and long-term investment.
Mamdani, a democratic socialist and current State Assembly member, has defended his agenda as necessary for “economic justice” in a post-pandemic city. But critics argue that his rhetoric, combined with fiscal uncertainty, is already having real financial consequences.
