זוהן פון הויפט כאמאס פירער ווארנט אז עס איז נישט דא קיין דיעל מיט חאמאס
Mosab Hasan Yousef, famously known as “The Green Prince” and son of a senior Hamas leader, has issued a powerful call to dismantle Hamas and pursue Israeli unity during an interview at the Jerusalem Center for Foreign Affairs.
A former Shin Bet agent who defected from Hamas, Yousef rejected any notion of negotiating with the group, declaring:
“There is no deal with the devil. How can you find common ground with people who want to kill, kidnap, and commit savage acts? This is Hamas.”
Hostages and the War
Yousef warned that partial hostage deals only strengthen Hamas by prolonging the war and fueling international pressure on Israel. He emphasized that while saving even a handful of hostages is significant, it risks leaving others behind. Instead, he supported a united effort to bring all captives home at once.
Dismantling Hamas, Not Just Killing Fighters
He argued that total victory comes from stripping Hamas of its power and addressing its ideological roots, comparing the process to cutting down a tree at its trunk:
“If you want to eradicate a group like this, it does not happen overnight. The first step is to remove them from power.”
Yousef likened Hamas to Nazism, saying both movements shared global domination ambitions and required force to be defeated.
On Gaza’s Humanitarian Crisis
While acknowledging the suffering in Gaza, Yousef placed responsibility squarely on Hamas, accusing the group of exploiting aid for its fighters:
“They pay their members with food, not money. They ensure their terrorists are well-fed while starving ordinary Gazans.”
He accused Hamas of systematically using civilians as human shields, calling it the group’s greatest war crime.
Division in Israel and Global Perceptions
Yousef criticized protests in Israel demanding immediate hostage deals, warning that such internal division strengthens Hamas’s resolve. He also dismissed claims of genocide against Israel as “baseless” and manipulated for propaganda.
Personal Reflections and Global Warning
Reflecting on October 7, 2023, Yousef described Hamas’s atrocities as “barbaric” and noted that many so-called civilians participated in the violence. His personal journey away from Hamas ideology, despite growing up in its inner circle, was shaped by his rejection of violence and hypocrisy.
Today, Yousef urges global Jewish communities to invest in Israel and warns against appeasing terrorism:
“The consequences of defeat will be deadly. If I was the leader, I would never accept surrender to the terrorists.”
Despite acknowledging the grim reality, he expressed faith in Israel’s resilience, calling it “the safest country in the world, with the strongest intelligence and the strongest army.”
In closing, he said:
“This is not about hope — it’s about truth.”
