GAZA CITY – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced plans to carry out targeted airstrikes on multiple buildings in Gaza City allegedly used by Hamas for military operations.
According to the IDF, intelligence reports confirm that Hamas has embedded its combat infrastructure inside civilian high-rises, using them as surveillance posts, command centers, sniper positions, missile launch sites, and tunnel access points. Officials also claim that several towers have been rigged with explosives to ambush Israeli ground forces.
The military said its operations will involve precise strikes in the coming days and stressed that steps will be taken to reduce civilian casualties, including issuing advance warnings before attacks.
The announcement comes as fighting intensifies in Gaza, with Israel seeking to dismantle Hamas’ urban strongholds while facing mounting international concerns over civilian safety.
