A major fire broke out early Saturday at the former BBC Television Centre in White City, London, prompting a large emergency response.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) confirmed that about 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines were deployed to tackle the blaze at the nine-storey building on Wood Lane. The fire affected the upper floors, including a restaurant and several residential flats.
Dozens of residents and workers were evacuated as crews worked to bring the flames under control. Authorities said no casualties have been reported so far.
Once the heart of BBC broadcasting, the iconic Television Centre has since been redeveloped into a complex of homes, restaurants, and offices. The building remains a landmark in West London, with parts of the site still used for television production.
Investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire. The LFB has urged people to avoid the area while emergency services remain on scene.
