President Donald Trump raised alarm over rising autism rates in the United States, urging greater research and accountability on potential causes.

“Just a few decades ago, 1 in 10,000 children had autism… now, it is 1 in 31,” Trump said. “Since 2000, autism rates have surged by much more than 400%. Instead of attacking those who ask questions, everyone should be grateful for those trying to get the answers.”

During his remarks, Trump also revealed that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is set to issue new guidance to doctors regarding acetaminophen — commonly known as Tylenol — and its potential risks during pregnancy.

“They are strongly recommending that women limit Tylenol use during pregnancy unless medically necessary,” he announced.

The statement reflects Trump’s continued emphasis on health transparency and his willingness to address controversial medical topics. Supporters praised the call for caution, while critics cautioned that more scientific evidence is needed before drawing firm conclusions.

The FDA has not yet released the full advisory, but the announcement is expected to spark debate among physicians, researchers, and families nationwide.
