Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a forceful speech at the United Nations General Assembly, defending Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza.
Netanyahu described the conflict as not only Israel’s battle but a fight shared by the entire world. “Our enemies are your enemies,” he told world leaders, framing Hamas as a threat that extends beyond the borders of the Middle East.
The Prime Minister vowed that Israel is “wiping out the terror regime of Hamas” to prevent future attacks, referencing the October 7 assault that sparked the current war. He stressed that Israel’s response is the same action any “self-respecting nation” would take when faced with such aggression.
His remarks come as the humanitarian crisis in Gaza deepens, drawing international scrutiny and calls for restraint. Despite the criticism, Netanyahu maintained that Israel’s mission is both justified and necessary for long-term security.
