Shocking Video: Handcuffed Suspect Steals Dallas Police Car and Leads Officers on Terrifying Joyride!
In a stunning display of brazen criminal behavior caught on dashcam and bodycam footage, a Dallas suspect slipped out of his handcuffs in the back of a patrol car and launched a chaotic escape attempt by jumping into the driver's seat. Stacy Huffman, 37, who had been arrested for driving with an invalid license, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of a firearm, managed to free his left hand, conceal his movements, and try to flee. When officers stopped the vehicle to re-secure him, Huffman seized the moment, started the patrol car, and took off at high speed, reaching about 50 MPH and fishtailing for roughly 100 yards.
One quick-thinking officer jumped into the backseat and deployed a Taser, but Huffman yanked the wires, rendering it ineffective. The officer outside the vehicle struck him to stop the dangerous flight, causing Huffman to lose consciousness momentarily. The heroic officer in the back eventually regained control of the vehicle before a crash, preventing a potential disaster. Both Huffman and the officer were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
This alarming incident highlights the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces from increasingly bold and dangerous criminals on American streets. Under the Trump administration’s strong emphasis on law and order, such cases reinforce the need for tougher policies, better training, and full accountability for those who attack public safety. Huffman now faces additional serious charges including unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and escape from custody upon his release from the hospital.
