The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that earlier today, more than fifteen terrorists launched a coordinated assault on a fortified post manned by the 90th Battalion of the Kfir Brigade near Khan Yunis.

Armed with gunfire and anti-tank missiles, the attackers attempted to overrun the position. In response, IDF troops engaged in close combat while being supported by Israeli Air Force (IAF) airstrikes. According to military officials, at least ten of the attackers were killed during the clash.

The IDF confirmed that the operation is still ongoing, with forces actively searching the area for additional militants who may remain in hiding.

During the fighting, one IDF soldier was severely wounded, while two others sustained light injuries. All were evacuated for medical treatment.

The incident highlights the continued intensity of clashes around Khan Yunis, an area that has been a focal point of the broader conflict in Gaza.
