The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that its Etzion Brigade (6) has carried out extensive operations in southern Gaza. According to military officials, the campaign targeted Hamas infrastructure and combat units.
During the operations, IDF forces destroyed hundreds of terror sites and eliminated dozens of militants. The clashes also involved direct engagements with Hamas units operating across two brigades.
The military emphasized that the strikes were aimed at dismantling Hamas’ operational capabilities in the area, including weapons storage, command centers, and fortified positions. Officials added that the operations are part of Israel’s broader effort to suppress militant activity and restore security near the border.
No independent confirmation of casualties or damage has yet been released. However, the IDF described the operations as a “significant blow” to Hamas forces in southern Gaza.
