SpaceX successfully launched NASA’s CRS-35 commercial resupply mission early on October 13, 2026, sending a Cargo Dragon spacecraft toward the International Space Station aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral. The powerful booster lifted off at 6:33 a.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 40, carrying more than 6,300 pounds of essential supplies, science experiments, and equipment for the astronauts living and working hundreds of miles above Earth. Among the key payloads are the final pair of roll-out solar arrays that will complete a major power-system upgrade for the orbiting laboratory. The mission marks the 35th cargo flight under NASA’s commercial resupply program and continues SpaceX’s reliable support for continuous human presence in space. After separation, the first-stage booster returned for a precise landing at Landing Zone 40, showcasing the company’s reusable technology once again. The Cargo Dragon is now on a roughly two-day journey and is scheduled to autonomously dock with the station’s Harmony module on October 15.

This latest delivery arrives as crews aboard the International Space Station rely on steady streams of fresh food, research hardware, and maintenance items to sustain long-duration operations far from home. The spacecraft will remain docked for about a month before returning to Earth with completed experiments and other materials for analysis by scientists on the ground. NASA and SpaceX teams have coordinated the flight to ensure the cargo supports ongoing investigations into everything from new materials to human health in microgravity. The successful liftoff keeps the resupply cadence on track and underscores the growing partnership that has made routine cargo runs to orbit a cornerstone of modern spaceflight. Travelers following the mission can expect the Dragon to deliver its vital load without the drama of human-rated flights, yet the stakes remain high for the crew depending on these shipments. With the rocket’s roar still echoing across the Florida coast, the spacecraft continues its climb toward the station that serves as humanity’s foothold in low Earth orbit.
