Thousands of Belzer yeshiva bochurim davened in a separate area this Rosh Hashanah as the growing number of mispallelim led to significant changes in the arrangements at the Belz center in Yerushalayim.

Under the new setup, students from both the Belz yeshivos ketanos and yeshivos gedolos were assigned to a separate minyan in the large hall known in Belz as the “Groise Shtub,” instead of joining the enormous crowd for the full davening in the main beis medrash.

The change was introduced in response to increasingly difficult crowding during the Yamim Noraim, with the main hall no longer able to comfortably accommodate the large number of Chassidim gathering for the tefillos.

Reports following Yom Tov confirm that the new arrangement was put into practice on both days of Rosh Hashanah. The Belzer Rebbe joined the bochurim in the Groise Shtub for Shacharis, while Mussaf was held with the larger tzibbur in the main beis medrash.

The reorganization represents a notable change to the Rosh Hashanah arrangements in Belz as the community continues to accommodate the large crowds gathering in Yerushalayim for Yom Tov.
