Hundreds gathered outside United Nations headquarters in Manhattan on Wednesday for a major rally calling on world leaders to take stronger action against rising antisemitism.

The “No More Excuses” rally was held at Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza as international leaders gathered in New York for the annual UN General Assembly.

The event was organized by UJA-Federation of New York, JCRC-NY and a broad coalition of Jewish organizations, including the Anti-Defamation League, American Jewish Committee, Conference of Presidents, Yeshiva University and others.

Organizers called on governments around the world to take concrete steps against antisemitism, including adopting national action plans, strengthening security for Jewish institutions and addressing the spread of antisemitic hate and misinformation online.

Speakers addressed the crowd throughout the event, while participants carried signs reading “Enough is Enough,” “The World Must Act,” and “Stop Antisemitism Now.”

The rally was deliberately held near the UN during its high-level week, with organizers saying they wanted combating antisemitism to remain on the agenda as world leaders gathered in Manhattan.
