Ninety-six yeshiva bochurim and avreichim who were recently imprisoned after refusing to enlist received special grants of $500 each at a gathering held on Monday.

The initiative was funded by American philanthropist Ari Schwartz, with the grants distributed to those who had spent time in military prison after continuing to follow the directives of their Rabbanim regarding enlistment.

During the gathering, each of the 96 recipients was presented with an envelope containing $500.

Organizers said the grants were intended to provide financial assistance and encouragement to the yeshiva bochurim and avreichim following their imprisonment, while expressing support for their continued commitment to Torah learning.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the financial and moral support provided through the initiative.
