The assault occurred at approximately 8 p.m. on Gleditschstraรe in Berlin's Schรถneberg district, where the victim was sitting on a bench with an acquaintance.

After the victim confirmed his religion, the suspect began making antisemitic remarks and arguing with him.
The confrontation escalated when the attacker sprayed beer at the victim and threw a full beer can toward him, narrowly missing him.
The suspect then punched the Jewish man in the face, knocking him to the ground, and continued striking him before fleeing the scene.
