Kushner Signals Steady Progress: US Talks Continue Until the Right Deal Is Ready

In an exclusive Fox News interview from Jerusalem, Jared Kushner offered a clear update on the Trump administration’s diplomatic efforts, confirming that communications remain active on multiple fronts. When asked whether talks continue, Kushner replied simply and firmly: “We continue to have communications. And when the deal is ready, the deal will be ready.” The statement reflects the administration’s consistent approach of patience paired with strength, refusing to accept incomplete or one-sided agreements. As President Trump’s special envoy, Kushner has been deeply engaged in both the Iran file and the Gaza roadmap.

On the Iran front, Kushner noted that conversations have continued even after the expiration of the earlier 60-day memorandum of understanding. While the dialogue has been more robust than in previous years, genuine mutual understanding has not yet been reached. Low levels of trust after decades of strained relations, combined with Iran’s apparent reluctance to pursue a truly balanced arrangement, mean that any final agreement must meet core American requirements. Those include ensuring Iran never obtains a nuclear weapon and ending its support for regional terror networks.

Kushner also addressed his recent meetings with Hamas leaders in Cairo and with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel. Those discussions focused on advancing a Gaza peace roadmap that prioritizes the full disarmament of Hamas before any significant reconstruction begins. The approach ensures that Israel’s security remains paramount and that Gaza cannot again serve as a launchpad for attacks. By keeping channels open while insisting on concrete results, the administration is applying measured pressure across the region.

This steady, results-oriented diplomacy underscores the Trump administration’s broader strategy of strength through clarity. Rather than rushing toward incomplete deals, the United States is prepared to wait until the terms protect American interests and those of its closest allies. Kushner’s latest comments from Jerusalem reinforce that communications continue, progress is being measured carefully, and no agreement will be finalized until it is truly ready.
