According to the IDF, the strike was a direct answer to an explosive drone that Hezbollah launched at Israeli troops operating in the security zone overnight into Sunday, September 27. The drone attack caused no injuries, but the military says it wasted no time hitting back. Israeli aircraft struck Hezbollah targets across several areas of southern Lebanon, including sites the IDF says were used to launch explosive drones and anti-tank missiles at its soldiers.
