Powerful storms have wreaked havoc along the U.S. coastline, with beachfront homes in North Carolina collapsing into the sea as two hurricanes churned across the Atlantic.

Footage captured on Tuesday, September 30, showed houses built on high stilts sliding off their foundations before crashing into the ocean. The destructive waves and storm surge eroded the shoreline, leaving entire properties swallowed by the sea within minutes.

Emergency crews have been monitoring vulnerable coastal areas, warning residents to evacuate as dangerous conditions continue. Officials stressed that more homes remain at risk as water levels rise and erosion worsens.

The double impact of the hurricanes has intensified concerns about climate resilience and the safety of coastal infrastructure, with experts warning that stronger storms are likely to become more frequent.
