Secretary of State Marco Rubio released a Christmas Eve video highlighting what he described as major foreign policy victories achieved under President Donald Trump’s America First agenda, presenting a sharp contrast to the instability and indecision that defined prior administrations.

The two-minute montage pulls from Rubio’s December 19 briefing, where he outlined a sweeping list of accomplishments that he says delivered tangible results for American security, global stability, and U.S. taxpayers. At the center of the message was Trump’s reputation as a dealmaker who favors outcomes over endless conflict, a theme Rubio summarized with a simple declaration: President of Peace.

According to Rubio, the Trump administration helped bring an end to eight wars while securing multiple ceasefires across volatile regions, including Gaza, the Congo-Rwanda conflict zone, and tensions between India and Pakistan. While critics dispute the durability of some agreements, Rubio emphasized that these diplomatic efforts reduced violence and created openings for continued negotiations where previous strategies had failed.

Rubio also highlighted a historic shift within NATO, noting that alliance members committed to a long-term goal of spending five percent of GDP on defense by 2035. He framed the move as a direct result of Trump’s insistence that allies carry their fair share, strengthening collective security without placing the burden solely on American taxpayers.

On foreign aid, Rubio defended the administration’s decision to slash 83 percent of USAID programs, arguing the reforms eliminated waste, saved billions of dollars, and redirected resources toward programs that actually serve U.S. interests. While critics warned of humanitarian consequences, Rubio maintained that accountability and effectiveness had been missing for decades and that reform was long overdue.

Border security featured prominently in the video, with Rubio pointing to historic agreements that helped reduce southwest border encounters by 99 percent. He credited new international pacts and tougher enforcement for restoring control at the border, calling it a clear fulfillment of Trump’s campaign promises.

Rubio also addressed the administration’s aggressive stance against transnational crime, citing targeted strikes on drug cartels and the arrest of key criminal leaders. He framed these actions as essential to protecting American communities and dismantling networks that profit from addiction and violence.

Supporters of the video praised it as a victory lap that underscored results-driven leadership and a foreign policy rooted in national interest rather than ideology. Critics, meanwhile, challenged some of the claims and raised concerns about aid reductions and ceasefire enforcement. Rubio, however, made clear that the administration measures success by outcomes, not headlines.

The message of the video was unmistakable: under President Trump, the United States pursued peace through strength, demanded accountability from allies and institutions, and put America first — always.
