The Chareidi community in Eretz Yisroel is mourning the tragic petirah of Harav Michael Eliezer Deutsch Z”L, a 37-year-old father of five from Modi’in Illit, who was killed in an accident while visiting Rishikesh in northern India.

Harav Deutsch, originally from Yerushalayim, was known as a dedicated talmid chacham who devoted much of his life to Torah learning. He authored more than 20 Torah and halachic publications and was highly regarded by those who knew him.

The circumstances surrounding the fatal accident have not been fully established.

His sudden petirah has left his family and community devastated. He leaves behind his wife and five children, who are mourning the loss of their husband and father.

Efforts have been reported to arrange the return of his aron to Eretz Yisroel for kevurah.
