The Rebbe Makes Rare Stop to Inspect New Beis Medrash in Williamsburg Ahead of Yomim Tovim

In a rare and spontaneous move, while en route to his residence in Williamsburg from Camp Divrei Yoel, the Rebbe Shlit"a requested to make an immediate stop at the new Beis Medrash. The Rebbe wanted to personally inspect the ongoing construction and the final preparations being made ahead of the upcoming Yomim Tovim.

Upon entering the heichal, the Rebbe was greeted by the prominent askan Reb Yoel Braver, who is spearheading the massive building project. Reb Yoel introduced the Rebbe to the dedicated yungeleit and workers who have been toiling around the clock with tremendous mesiras nefesh to ensure the magnificent shul is completed in time.

The Rebbe toured the entire heichal, receiving a detailed report on the construction. He was briefed on the immense thought, effort, and millions of dollars invested to ensure the kavod of the Beis Medrash, as well as the maximum comfort of the tzibur. Once completed, the sprawling complex will serve the kehillah for Shabbos, Yom Tov, and simchas, while also featuring beautiful chadarim for daily minyanim.

During the tour, the Rebbe took special note of the mechitzos in the ezras nashim. He carefully examined the layout to ensure it meets the highest standards of tznius, while still allowing the nashim tzidkaniyos to properly follow the davening.

The Rebbe left the site visibly impressed by the monumental work being done to have the Beis Medrash ready for the Yomim Noraim. Before departing, the Rebbe bestowed his brachos upon those involved in the project, blessing them that they should soon see the successful completion of the melachah. He also offered a special bracha for abundant hashpaos to help cover the astronomical costs of the building fund, emphasizing the tremendous zechus the askanim have in enabling thousands of Yidden to daven with harchavas hadaas on the holiest days of the year.
