A dramatic explosion rocked Emerald City Harbor in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, on September 6, when a boat burst into flames shortly after refueling.

The blast hurled two people into the water, leaving them with minor injuries. Authorities said the victims were treated at the scene and are expected to recover. Tragically, their dog was also caught in the explosion. Despite being rushed to an emergency veterinary hospital, the animal did not survive.

Video footage captured the moment the boat ignited just seconds after refueling, underscoring the dangers associated with handling fuel near enclosed vessels.

Local officials are investigating the cause of the explosion and have urged boat owners to follow strict safety protocols when refueling.
