Approximately 20,000 seminary students across Eretz Yisroel have joined a major fundraising drive on behalf of Keren Olam HaTorah, as the fund launches its new “Lemaan Torasecha” campaign to support yeshivos and kollelim.

Ahead of the nationwide fundraising effort, large gatherings were held for seminary students in Yerushalayim, Bnei Brak and Modi'in Illit, with thousands attending programs devoted to the campaign and the importance of supporting lomdei Torah.

Under the initiative, students from dozens of seminaries have each undertaken a fundraising goal aimed at supporting a yeshiva bochur or kollel yungerman for the coming year. The students are reaching out to relatives and acquaintances to enlist additional supporters for Keren Olam HaTorah.

The campaign represents a significant expansion of the fund's fundraising efforts. Until recently, Keren Olam HaTorah relied heavily on major donors abroad. The new initiative seeks to broaden participation by bringing families throughout the Charedi community into the effort to support the yeshiva and kollel world.

Activity continued Wednesday at Keren Olam HaTorah's headquarters in Yerushalayim, where donors and campaign participants took part in the fundraising drive.

Footage from the headquarters showed one donor receiving a personal bracha from a Rosh Yeshiva after participating in the “Lemaan Torasecha” campaign.

The nationwide effort comes during the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah, with the campaign emphasizing support for Torah learning ahead of Yom Kippur.
