A 22-year-old pharmacy student from the Beit Hanina neighborhood of Yerushalayim has been indicted on charges of planning terrorist attacks against Jewish civilians and security personnel.
According to the indictment filed with the Yerushalayim District Court, Muhammed Shalabi allegedly planned attacks involving explosives and poisonous substances.
Prosecutors also accuse him of receiving training for terrorist purposes and preparing to carry out an act of murder.
Shalabi, who reportedly worked as a pharmaceutical assistant while studying pharmacy, is accused of becoming radicalized following the October 7 attacks and the subsequent war.
The State Attorney's Office has requested that he remain in custody until the conclusion of the legal proceedings.
The accusations remain allegations, and Shalabi has not been convicted of the charges.
