Tzeva Shachor Chairman Speaks Out Following Failed Arrest Of Yeshiva Bochur In Modi'in
Tzeva Shachor chairman Yaakov Chaim Miller spoke at the scene in Modi’in following the dramatic overnight attempt by Military Police to arrest a yeshiva bochur from Yeshivas Ohr HaChaim.
Hundreds of protesters had gathered outside the bochur’s home after word of the attempted arrest spread. Police forces were brought to the area as protesters attempted to prevent the Military Police from taking the bochur into custody.
After an extended standoff and confrontations at the scene, the Military Police ultimately left without taking the bochur into custody.
Speaking outside the home following the incident, Miller criticized the absence of Haredi political representatives during the confrontation, saying he had not seen Haredi lawmakers or their senior aides at the scene.
The bochur, Yaari Lieberman, remained free following the incident and was later greeted by supporters.
