HaGaon Rav Malkiel Kotler, Rosh Yeshiva of Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, arrived at the White House Thursday as leading Admorim and Rabbanim gathered for their historic meeting with President Donald Trump.

Upon arriving, Rav Malkiel briefly responded to questions from reporters ahead of entering the White House.

Asked whether he planned to give President Trump a bracha during the meeting, Rav Malkiel indicated that he would not. When asked whether the son of the Skverer Rebbe would give the president a bracha, Rav Malkiel said he would follow what the other Rabbanim do.

Rav Malkiel’s arrival marks the latest development as members of the rabbinical delegation converge on the White House for the closely watched meeting ahead of Rosh Hashanah.
