“Python Fight!” — That’s how one Australian snake catcher described the unusual scene he stumbled upon in Queensland, where two massive pythons were locked in a roadside battle.

Daniel Busstra, widely known as Snake Catcher Dan, managed to safely separate the scuffling reptiles before removing them from the area. According to Busstra, the clash was likely sparked by competition over a nearby female python.

Videos of the encounter quickly spread online, showcasing the dramatic writhing struggle between the two snakes before Busstra intervened.

While the sight may alarm some, experts note that such fights are common during breeding season, as males battle for dominance and the chance to mate. Thanks to Busstra’s swift response, both snakes were relocated without harm — and drivers on the busy road avoided a dangerous distraction.
