A routine call for help in Lee County, Florida, turned chaotic when deputies responded to reports of a wild boar breaking into a family’s living room. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the animal had smashed through a sliding glass door earlier this month, startling the homeowner.

Newly released bodycam footage shows the dramatic moment a deputy entered the residence only to be charged by the boar, forcing him to quickly retreat. Moments later, the hog managed to escape back into the woods on its own, avoiding capture.

While no injuries were reported, officials reminded residents that encounters with wild animals — especially aggressive ones like boars — should be handled with caution, urging people to call authorities immediately rather than approach the animal themselves.
