Israel has taken delivery of three new F-35I “Adir” stealth fighter jets, further strengthening the Israeli Air Force’s advanced combat capabilities. The aircraft arrived at Nevatim Air Base and were formally received by Israeli Air Force personnel, marking the latest tranche of deliveries under the long-standing U.S.–Israel security partnership.

The newly delivered jets were purchased and funded through U.S. military assistance, part of the $3.8 billion annual aid package the United States provides to Israel. Since 2016, this program has supplied Israel with 48 F-35I Adir fighters, making the Israeli Air Force one of the largest and most experienced F-35 operators outside the United States.

Video footage released by Israeli military sources shows the aircraft taxiing at Nevatim Air Base, followed by ground crews conducting post-delivery inspections. Still images highlight distinctive Hebrew markings and tail numbers, including 978 and 901, visually confirming the arrival of the jets and their integration into Israel’s operational fleet.

The F-35I Adir is a customized variant of the U.S.-built F-35, adapted to meet Israel’s specific operational requirements. It combines stealth technology, advanced sensors, electronic warfare capabilities, and networked combat systems, giving Israel a decisive edge in intelligence gathering, air superiority, and precision strike missions across the region.

Supporters of the program emphasize that U.S. military aid to Israel serves shared strategic interests, ensuring that a key ally maintains a qualitative military edge in a volatile region. The delivery underscores the depth of defense cooperation between Washington and Jerusalem, particularly at a time of heightened regional threats.

With these latest additions, Israel continues to expand and modernize its air force, reinforcing deterrence and operational readiness while demonstrating the tangible results of U.S.-backed defense commitments.
