Satellite imagery from Planet Labs and Maxar has revealed significant damage to U.S. military infrastructure in the Middle East following Iranian missile strikes between March 1 and 3, 2026. The compiled images indicate that Iran targeted radar systems, communications installations, and radomes across several allied bases, including Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, Jordan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

Specific damages include two AN/GSC-52B radars in Bahrain, three radomes and multiple satellite communications structures at Arifjan Base in Kuwait, and one AN/TPY-2 THAAD radar each in the UAE and Jordan. Qatar’s early-warning capabilities were affected with damage to an AN/FPS-132 radar, while Prince Sultan Airbase in Saudi Arabia may have experienced hits to a possible AN/TPY-2 radar site. Video frames highlight the before-and-after conditions of these critical systems, illustrating destroyed THAAD radars, radomes, and satellite communications structures.

While reports from CNN and Al Jazeera confirm that the attacks were largely non-lethal, they represent a direct retaliation by Iran in response to U.S.-Israeli strikes on its nuclear facilities. Analysts note that these strikes, although not causing casualties, could temporarily degrade the monitoring and defensive capabilities of U.S. forces in the region.

The imagery and assessments underscore the ongoing volatility in the Middle East and the escalating nature of Iranian counterattacks. U.S. military command is closely evaluating the structural damage and operational impact to determine the necessary reinforcements, repairs, and continued readiness for potential follow-on strikes. The attacks highlight the strategic vulnerability of radar and communication installations and the need for continued surveillance and protective measures in a highly contested theater.
