SYDNEY — Dramatic footage captured the moment a small plane crash-landed on the Mona Vale Golf Course in Sydney, Australia, on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

The Piper Cherokee light aircraft was on a training flight when it was forced to make an emergency landing around 2 p.m., according to the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB). Both the instructor pilot and student escaped with only minor injuries.

Images from the scene showed the aircraft with a damaged wing and missing wheels, but emergency crews quickly secured the site. Authorities praised the swift response and adherence to emergency protocols, which helped prevent more serious consequences.
