Chaos erupted in Paris on September 10th as riot police clashed with demonstrators during the “Block Everything” protests. Thousands of people took to the streets following the ousting of Prime Minister François Bayrou, sparking widespread unrest across the city.

At one point, police were seen attempting to extinguish a fire at a restaurant. According to video verified by Storyful, the blaze was reportedly ignited by a tear gas grenade thrown by police during the confrontations.

The demonstrations quickly escalated, with barricades set up, tear gas deployed, and fires breaking out in several locations. Protesters accused the government of ignoring public demands, while officials defended the police response as necessary to maintain order.

Authorities have not yet released figures on arrests or injuries, but tensions remain high as unions and opposition groups call for more mass actions in the coming days.
