IDF forces operating in the West Bank overnight and into the morning completed the demolition of two homes belonging to individuals linked to past terror attacks, according to military statements. The coordinated action, carried out by troops from the Menashe and Samaria Brigades, formed part of Operation “Five Stones,” an ongoing effort to deter and disrupt terror networks throughout the region.
The homes belonged to suspects implicated in two separate bombings—one targeting a bus in Bat Yam and another in Holon. Israel maintains that these demolitions serve both as a deterrent and as a necessary security measure against operatives involved in attacks on Israeli civilians.
IDF engineers conducted the demolitions during low-traffic hours to reduce friction with nearby communities and minimize potential violence. Troops secured the area, encountering only limited disturbances before completing the operation.
According to defense officials, Operation “Five Stones” continues to focus on dismantling infrastructure, safehouses, and logistical hubs used by terror cells in northern Samaria and surrounding sectors. The IDF emphasizes that home demolitions, though controversial internationally, remain a key component of Israel’s counter-terror strategy—one aimed at preventing further attacks and signaling that participation in terror activity carries serious consequences.
The military stated that additional operational steps are expected in the coming weeks as security forces intensify their campaign to preempt future attacks and reinforce stability across the region.
