WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) issued a stark warning about Democratic immigration policies, arguing they would undo recent efforts to strengthen U.S. border security.
Appearing on Varney & Co., Donalds criticized what he described as President Biden’s “border disaster” and voiced strong support for President Donald Trump’s mandate for mass deportations.
“Democrats will undo border security,” Donalds said, rejecting proposals that would provide carve-outs or legal protections for undocumented workers. He argued that only strict enforcement, including large-scale deportations, can restore order at the southern border.
Donalds’ comments highlight ongoing Republican efforts to frame immigration as a central issue heading into 2025, underscoring deep partisan divides over how to address record migrant crossings and the role of federal and state governments in enforcement.
