China has officially launched what UBTECH Robotics calls the world’s first “mass delivery” of industrial humanoid robots. The Shenzhen-based company announced that hundreds of its Walker S2 units have already left the factory, with production ramping up earlier than initially promised.

The first batches of robots are being deployed to major industrial players including BYD, Geely, FAW-Volkswagen, Dongfeng, and Foxconn. These humanoid machines are designed to operate in manufacturing and logistics environments, capable of performing around-the-clock work without breaks, helping companies increase productivity and efficiency.

UBTECH reports that its order book is enormous, signaling rapid adoption of robotic labor across China’s industrial sector. The company emphasizes that the Walker S2 units will play a crucial role in tasks requiring consistent performance and precision, particularly in sectors where continuous operation is vital.

This deployment marks a significant milestone in industrial automation, demonstrating China’s growing capabilities in robotics and AI-driven manufacturing. The integration of humanoid robots into large-scale industrial workflows not only advances operational efficiency but also highlights the strategic role of robotics in supporting the country’s economic and technological ambitions.
