The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced significant progress in operations against Hamas in southern Gaza. Working with Yahalom combat engineers, the IDF demolished more than 8 kilometers of Hamas tunnels, dealing a major blow to the group’s underground network.

At the same time, the Kfir Brigade targeted multiple Hamas military sites, seized large caches of weapons, and established a new secured corridor known as the “Magen Oz” route. This route effectively divides eastern and western Khan Younis, tightening Israel’s control over the area.

According to the IDF, the combined operation disrupted Hamas’s military infrastructure while increasing maneuverability for Israeli forces in the region.

The developments mark one of the largest engineering operations carried out during the ongoing conflict, as Israel continues its campaign to dismantle Hamas’s military capabilities.
