UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has launched a sharp political rebuke against Elon Musk, accusing the tech billionaire of inflaming tensions in Britain following the highly controversial murder case of Henry Nowak. The case, which involved disturbing bodycam footage and allegations of mishandled police judgment, has already triggered widespread public anger and protests across parts of the UK.
At the center of the controversy is the December 2025 killing of Henry Nowak by Vickrum Digwa, a case that has fueled accusations of “two-tier policing” after officers were initially seen accepting the attacker’s account. Public outrage intensified after footage surfaced showing Nowak handcuffed while dying, prompting Musk to publicly comment and even suggest funding a private prosecution against officers involved.
Starmer responded by framing Britain as a nation of “reasonable, tolerant people,” insisting that external figures should not be amplifying division or influencing sensitive domestic legal matters. His remarks highlight a growing political clash over social media influence, state authority, and public trust in policing as the government seeks to contain escalating backlash.
