NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal stepped in to sponsor his retraining and living expenses, allowing him to return to the academy and successfully pass on his second attempt. The department had to arrange custom uniforms and vehicle modifications to accommodate his size, highlighting both the practical challenges and his determination to serve.
