GEORGIA – The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals has temporarily blocked a lower court ruling that ordered the popular attraction “Alligator Alcatraz” to shut down, allowing it to remain open while the appeals process continues.

The decision means visitors can still attend the wildlife facility as the legal battle plays out. The lower court had previously ruled in favor of closing the attraction, though details of the dispute have not yet been released in full.

With the appellate court’s intervention, “Alligator Alcatraz” will continue operations until a final judgment is reached.
