Boston Police released surveillance footage showing two masked suspects accused of robbing a children’s lemonade stand at gunpoint in South Boston, sparking outrage throughout the community. The incident happened on West Ninth Street when an 11-year-old girl and 12-year-old boy were allegedly approached by the suspects, who had made multiple passes before confronting the children.

Investigators said the suspects asked whether the stand accepted Apple Pay before taking a pink cash box containing about $50, with one suspect allegedly displaying a black handgun. The suspects fled the scene, and the empty cash box was later recovered, while the young victims were left shaken but unharmed and eventually reopened their stand.
