Newly released surveillance footage reveals the harrowing moments when ICE agents shielded detainees during a deadly shooting in Dallas.

The video shows agents ducking for cover as gunfire erupted, moving quickly to rush prisoners to safety inside the facility. One handcuffed detainee appeared visibly bleeding as officers worked to protect those in custody.

According to the FBI, the gunman — identified as Joshua Jahn — carefully plotted the assault, taking up a sniper position on a Dallas rooftop. Investigators say Jahn expressed a desire to instill “terror” in immigration officers before launching his attack.
