VP Vance Demands Congress Force States to Share Fraud Data Immediately

Vice President JD Vance is calling on Congress to pass legislation right away that would require all 50 states to turn over key data so the federal government can detect and eliminate fraud in benefit programs. He emphasized that without this information, Washington has little ability to see whether taxpayer-funded assistance is being properly distributed. He argued that voluntary cooperation has proven insufficient and that federal legislation is required to close the gaps that allow waste and abuse to continue. Alongside the data requirement, Vance is also pushing for significantly higher penalties for those who commit fraud, regardless of the scale of the offense.
