Russia carried out a massive overnight attack on Ukraine’s Sumy region, leaving widespread destruction and civilian casualties.

In the city of Okhtyrka, at least 14 people were reported injured, including three children aged five months, four years, and six years. Rescuers managed to pull a woman alive from the rubble, according to local officials.

The strikes were part of a broader wave of Russian attacks across Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours, at least three people were killed and 34 others wounded nationwide, authorities said.

Emergency services remain on the ground in Sumy, working to clear debris, assist the wounded, and assess the full scale of the damage. The attack highlights the ongoing risks facing civilians as Russia intensifies its use of drones against Ukrainian population centers.
