Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s last Shah, delivered a powerful and uncompromising video address denouncing Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the Islamic Republic for what he described as decades of systematic crimes against the Iranian people. Speaking amid the ongoing 2025–2026 uprising, Pahlavi accused Iran’s leadership of bearing direct responsibility for the deaths of tens of thousands of protesters, including children and young people, whose blood he said stains the hands of the regime.
Addressing Khamenei directly, Pahlavi labeled him an “anti-Iranian criminal” devoid of honor or humanity and warned that neither he nor those who carried out his orders would escape accountability. He declared that every act of violence committed against the Iranian people has been recorded and will be answered for without exception. Drawing a stark historical parallel, Pahlavi compared the future reckoning for Iran’s leaders to the Nuremberg trials, asserting that Khamenei and his accomplices will ultimately face justice in the court of the Iranian people.
Pahlavi rejected any notion of forgiveness or retreat, emphasizing that the movement opposing the regime is driven not by despair, but by resolve. He described the Islamic Republic as a regime in visible decline, weakened by sustained resistance and increasingly unable to govern through fear. According to Pahlavi, the uprising has already altered the course of Iran’s history, proving that the state can no longer silence a population that has awakened to its own power.
Turning to the Iranian people, Pahlavi offered a message of solidarity and encouragement, praising their courage and resilience in the face of brutal repression. He framed their struggle as both a national duty and a moral covenant with those who have lost their lives fighting for freedom. Their names, he said, will never be forgotten, neither in history nor in the collective memory of the nation.
Pahlavi called on Iranians to be ready for the moment when they will once again return to the streets in greater numbers, stronger and more determined than before, to reclaim Tehran and the country as a whole. He expressed confidence that the collapse of the regime has already begun and that victory is no longer a distant aspiration but an approaching reality.
Concluding his address on a note of defiance and hope, Pahlavi envisioned the day when Iranians will stand together and declare that they endured, they fought, and they prevailed. His message reinforced the belief shared by many protesters that the end of the Islamic Republic is not only possible, but inevitable.
